Description

Job Title: Photographer Editing Assistant
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Summary

The Photographer Editing Assistant is responsible for producing high-quality visual assets that support vehicle listings, internet sales, and company marketing initiatives. This role combines photography, photo editing, and video production to ensure inventory is accurately and professionally represented across digital platforms. The position requires strong technical proficiency, attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Functions & Responsibilities

Photography & Image Production

  • Capture vehicle images using a company-provided iPhone in accordance with established photo guidelines.

  • Follow required shot sequences, angles, and composition standards.

  • Prepare units prior to photography (interior staging, alignment, cleanliness).

  • Coordinate with transportation or operations staff to ensure units are available for photography.

  • Identify and report visible damage, missing components, or vehicle issues to management.

  • Upload images to the company server daily.

Photo Editing & Image Management

  • Edit images using Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop.

  • Perform color correction, lighting adjustments, cropping, straightening, and exposure balancing.

  • Remove unwanted objects, reflections, stickers, or visual distractions.

  • Ensure images meet company quality standards and technical specifications.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve image-related issues, including file conversions when necessary (HEIC/JPEG, etc.).

  • Assist with floorplan creation and other Photoshop-related tasks.

Videography & Walkthrough Content

  • Film vehicle walkthrough videos using a company-provided iPhone.

  • Operate and utilize a company-provided gimbal for stabilized footage.

  • Follow established video guidelines, shot structure, and presentation standards.

  • Upload video content to designated company systems.

Cross-Departmental Support

  • Respond to photography, editing, and video requests from Internet Sales and management teams.

  • Prioritize tasks based on business needs and deadlines.

  • Maintain consistent communication with supervisors and relevant departments.

  • Provide occasional coverage or assistance for other locations when required.

Performance & Adaptability

  • Meet weekly productivity benchmarks and performance standards.

  • Maintain accuracy and consistency across visual deliverables.

  • Remain open to learning new tools, technologies, and workflows.

  • Adapt to evolving business needs and responsibilities.

Travel Requirements

  • Moderate travel required.

  • Occasional travel to other store locations for operational support.

  • Travel may be required for RV shows or company events when supporting assigned markets.

Duties & General Expectations

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.

  • Maintain organized and accurate records.

  • Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and accountability.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.



Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency with iPhone photography and videography.

  • Experience with Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop.

  • Strong computer skills (Windows environment).

  • Ability to troubleshoot basic technical and file-format issues.

  • Strong attention to detail and visual quality.

  • Effective time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities.

  • Strong communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 8 hours).

  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and move around vehicles.

  • Ability to lift and carry items between 20 – 55 lbs.

  • Ability to visually assess surroundings and vehicle conditions.

  • Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.

  • Ability to work outside normal business hours on occasion if needed.
