Who You Are:
We are seeking a naturally talented Photographer & Videographer to capture the spirit of Urban Electric through still photography and video. This role requires an editorial, photojournalistic eye, with the ability to also contribute to stylized photography projects. You will document the life of our shop—its people, processes and events—with an artistic lens that aligns with our brand position. In addition to shooting, this person will also be responsible for organizing and managing all photography and video assets, assisting with photo editing and facilitating photo and video sharing across internal teams and digital platforms. You should be capable of and willing to travel and be willing to carry heavy equipment, set up gear and assist with shoot prep as needed. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, is flexible, collaborative, has a keen sense for visual storytelling and is eager to jump in on projects as they arise, whether it’s an impromptu shoot around the shop, a special client-facing event, or the creation of content for our digital channels. Experience shooting both stills and video, with proficiency in editing short films for web and social media is a must.
A Day in the Life:
- Capture compelling still and video content in an editorial / photojournalistic style
- Oversee photo editing and color correction to maintain a polished and cohesive visual style
- Execute stylized photography projects as directed
- Support documentation of manufacturing facility, brand activations and client events on and off-site as needed
- Edit short films and video content for use on web, social and marketing platforms
- Organize, manage and archive all photography and video assets
- Facilitate internal photo and video sharing across teams and platforms
- Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to maintain a consistent aesthetic and visual language
What Will Set You Up for Success:
- 3+ years of professional experience in photography and video production
- Strong portfolio demonstrating an editorial, artistic, and luxury aesthetic
- Proficiency in editing tools (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.)
- Experience creating short films for web and social media
- Strong organizational skills with experience managing digital photography libraries
- Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule with willingness to be on call for projects and events as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with high-end design or luxury brands
- Understanding of storytelling through both still and motion media
