So, what will the Mapping, Charting, and Geodesy (MC&G) System Transition and Integration Specialist at Terrestris do?

As the Mapping, Charting, and Geodesy (MC&G) System Transition and Integration Specialist you will provide technical and programmatic support to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). This position plays a critical role in managing the transition of MC&G capabilities from development into operational environments, ensuring seamless integration with NGA’s enterprise systems and mission workflows.

What does a typical day look like for the Mapping, Charting, and Geodesy (MC&G) System Transition and Integration Specialist?

You will:

  • Assist the MC&G PEO Engineering Management staff and Program Managers as a subject matter expert on system transition & integration.
  • Manage the overall MC&G Mission Domain system transition process across the compendium of MC&G Foundation GEOINT-related programs, project, pilots and initiatives.
  • Manage/Plan system transitions between MC&G PEO and other organizations such as Research and NGA/SF.
  • Coordinate system capability development between the MC&G PEO and other organizations to ensure alignment of planning and prevent duplication of capabilities.
  • Coordinate with external entities to ensure MC&G Mission Domain system transitions are supported at the larger mission / enterprise level.
  • Maintain awareness of external system transitions, and evaluate the impacts thereof to MC&G Mission Domain systems.
  • Assist MC&G PEO Program Managers on individual program transitions as directed by the MC&G PEO Engineering Management staff.
  • Manage the overall MC&G Mission Domain system integration process across the compendium of MC&G Mission Domain-related programs, projects, pilots and initiatives.
  • Produce and manage such integration-related artifacts and specifications as required by the MC&G PEO Engineering Management staff.
  • Identify and recommend new technology insertion to improve MC&G Mission Domain satisfaction and performance.
  • Evaluate MC&G PEO engineering processes and procedures, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Brief internal and external to the MC&G PEO.

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the professional we’re looking for if you have:

  • The authorization to work in the United States permanently, without sponsorship.
  • An Active Top-Secret (TS) Clearance.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial Sciences, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience working with the National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG) community and its functions, with tasks to include understanding management processes and communication across all levels of the organizational hierarchy.
  • 2 years of experience transitioning complex IT systems from (A) a legacy contractor to a successor contractor, (B) from a legacy technical solution baseline to a new technical solution baseline, and (C) from one organization to another organization.
  • 2 years of experience dealing with Systems Integration issues, complexities, and challenges and conducting System Architecture analysis for interface specifications, system dependencies, and projected system performance evaluations.
  • 2 years of experience with Agile Systems Development, with emphasis on Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) processes.

We are extra impressed by folks with:

  • Program Management or Systems Engineering support experience with Research & Development programs.
