Manufacturing Process Engineer

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead the industrialization, assembly, and test strategy for robotic inspection and cleaning systems deployed in utility-scale solar PV plants. This role owns the end-to-end manufacturing process, from in-house pilot builds through scale-up and successful transfer to contract manufacturing partners.
Define, develop, and document end-to-end assembly and test processes for robotic inspection and cleaning platforms
Establish station layouts, tooling requirements, work instructions, and quality control checkpoints
Support early builds while working with contract manufacturers ensuring equipment, assembly line and process readiness for scale
Manage functional, diagnostic, and end-of-line test procedures and test stations
Lead first-article builds, process validation, and root-cause failure analysis
Scale-Up & Contract Manufacturing Transfer
Lead manufacturing handoff to MAI and CM partners
Develop and/or approve process documentation, training materials, and tooling packages
Act as technical manufacturing interface during NPI transition to ramp
Quality & Continuous Improvement
Drive PFMEA development, yield tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives
Provide DFM/DFA feedback to design teams
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering
5+ years of experience in robotics or electromechanical manufacturing
Strong hands-on manufacturing and test background
Robotics or autonomous systems or factory automation systems implementation
Experience in new product introduction (NPI), pilot builds, and contract manufacturing transitions
MAI (Manufacturing & Assembly Integration) and contract manufacturing environments

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The annual salary range for this position is $130,000 to $145,000.
