Triad Engineering, Inc. has an immediate need for a full-time Licensed Surveyor for our Morgantown, WV office.

Professional Surveyors License Required

DUTIES

The Surveying Supervisor position reports directly to the Survey Practice Leader.

  • Carry out assignments and verbal instructions from Survey Practice leader with little to no daily supervision
  • Daily supervision of field crews, including Survey Crew Chief and Survey Technicians
  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of field survey work
  • Assist with client contact and client retention
  • Business Development with new and existing clients including up-selling and cross-selling other Triad services
  • Frequent and ongoing contact with contractors and professional office staff
  • Responsible for the maintenance and repair of survey vehicles and equipment
  • Prepare field work budget
  • Strive to make each project profitable
  • Required to adhere to Company and other required safety practices

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Post-secondary technical training in surveying, including two-year associate degree or technology degree is desirable

Experience

  • Four to Six years of work experience with progressing responsibility and oversight for office activities including coordination, calculations, estimating, etc.

Certifications

  • Professional Surveyors License Required

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, perform basic math, and be comfortable communicating with the public
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
  • Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments

The employee may be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 80 pounds. Work may routinely require the employee to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Work is performed in all weather conditions, and often involves extensive standing, walking and/or brush clearing. Sites may include busy streets, construction sites, manholes and/or difficult terrain or slopes.
