We are seeking an experienced Survey Manager / Professional Land Surveyor to plan, organize, and direct surveying operations and personnel.

This role oversees surveyors and technicians performing boundary, topographic, construction, utility, and subsurface utility engineering (SUE) surveys.

The successful candidate will ensure technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, quality control, and safe work practices while supporting client relationships and business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

The Survey Manager will assemble and review field data, perform survey calculations, and prepare legal descriptions. This role manages multiple field crews and oversees day -to -day surveying operations while ensuring quality assurance and quality control across all project deliverables.

Responsibilities include preparing and monitoring project budgets, overseeing billing, and maintaining direct client relationships.

The position supports business development activities within the surveying discipline and represents the company in meetings with clients and prospective clients.

<\/div>
This role also provides leadership and ongoing performance management, including setting expectations, defining goals, providing feedback, conducting one -on -one meetings, and coaching team members to support professional growth.

<\/div>Candidates must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast -paced, team -oriented environment and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
<\/div>
<\/div>A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
<\/div>
<\/div>Applicants must have a general understanding of survey plan preparation using Inroads, MicroStation, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
<\/div>
<\/div>A minimum of 10 years of professional surveying experience is required, along with an active Tennessee Professional Registered Land Surveyor (RLS) license.
<\/div>
<\/div>A working knowledge of federal, state, and local surveying regulations is required. Preferred Qualifications Experience with subsurface utility engineering (SUE), utility designating, and locating is preferred.
<\/div>
<\/div>Familiarity with aerial mapping, LiDAR scanning, and small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) is a plus. Working Conditions This position is primarily office -based, with approximately 95% of work performed in a general office environment.
<\/div>
<\/div>The role is largely sedentary but may require occasional standing and walking.
<\/div>
<\/div>Periodic field work is required and may involve working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wet, or humid environments.
<\/div>
<\/div>Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required.
<\/div>
