DescriptionOur Radio Development R&D Team is looking is part of a team involved in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of 5G/6G cellular base stations. We are looking for a Senior Jr. Engineer who has subject matter expertise in thermal management and thermal design of electronic enclosures. This engineer would be a key contributor in thermal related design work of telecom equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform thermal design, simulation, and test validation for radio products at system, board, and component levels.
- Conduct and evaluate CFD analysis using heat transfer and thermodynamic principles.
- Validate simulation results through experimental testing on manufactured products.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations with analysis, plots, and recommendations.
- Support internal research initiatives; up to 10% domestic/international travel.
QualificationsYou have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree a plus.
- Solid understanding of heat transfer theories and thermal management.
- Proficient in using CFD tools (e.g., Flotherm, Flotherm XT) for thermal analysis.
It would be nice if you also had:
- Familiar with thermal measurement tools (data loggers, IR cameras, air chambers, air speed meters).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using shop tools.
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly and apply them to real-world solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Chinese a plus.
- Previous Nokia intern or co-op experience.
