Are you a creative and skilled freelance photographer with experience in an art or event setting to document a variety of events, exhibitions, and performances at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center? If so, we might have the opportunity for you! As a freelance photographer, you will have the opportunity to capture dynamic moments, artist showcases, community interactions, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of our ongoing programs. Your work will be used across digital platforms, marketing materials, and in our promotional campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
Photograph exhibitions, performances, special events, and artist talks.
Capture candid moments during workshops, classes, and community events.
Collaborate with the arts center's marketing and events teams to understand visual needs.
Edit and deliver high-quality photos in a timely manner, ensuring they align with the center's aesthetic.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a photographer, preferably in an arts or event setting.
Strong portfolio showcasing previous work (please include a link to your portfolio).
Proficient in using DSLR or mirrorless cameras, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom).
Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
Attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to capture the essence of an event or exhibition.
Knowledge of lighting, composition, and photo editing techniques.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and during special events when necessary.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Photo shoots can last anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending upon the event. Deadline to submit applications is May 31, 2025.
