Electrical Engineer (Part-time) - Level II Thermographer

NOVA seeking a Part-time Electrical Engineer to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, FL for 10-15 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with specific expertise in electrical infrared inspections. This role requires a professional who holds a Level II Certified Thermographer (Electrical Applications) certification and a State of Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license. Experience with 40-year inspections for re-certifications is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct electrical infrared inspections to identify potential issues and ensure system reliability.
• Perform 40-year inspections for re-certifications, ensuring compliance with state regulations and safety standards.
• Analyze and interpret infrared thermography data to diagnose electrical system problems.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation of inspection findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with other engineers and technical staff to develop and implement solutions for identified issues.
• Stay updated with industry standards, codes, and best practices related to electrical engineering and infrared thermography.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Level II Certified Thermographer - Electrical Applications 
• State of Florida Professional Engineer license (Electrical discipline) is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on electrical infrared inspections.
• Proven experience with 40-year inspections for re-certifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
• Experience using infrared thermography equipment and software.
• Knowledge of state and local electrical codes and regulations.

Work Schedule:

• Part-time, flexible hours (10-15 hours per week)
• Some travel may be required for on-site inspections.
