The City of Gahanna is seeking an Economic Development professional to lead initiatives that support placemaking, small business growth, and community engagement in key development areas. This role involves creating and implementing placemaking strategies, providing technical assistance to local small businesses, and fostering strong partnerships with stakeholders to drive economic vitality and enhance the visitor experience. Ideal candidates will have a background in placemaking, economic development, event or city planning, along with strong project management and communication skills.

Starting Salary Range: The starting salary is between the minimum and midpoint of the range ($66,955.20 - $82,014.40). Candidates will start at the minimum of the range unless their skills, experience, education, or other factors exceed the qualifications for the position.
Any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. A typical way to qualify is three (3) years of progressively responsible experience and a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business Administration, Economic Development, Public Policy, or related field.
