Join Barclays in the Office of Legal Obligations (OLO) as a Control Mapping Operations (CMO) Program Support - AVP, where you will provide program support and critical insights led and to drive effective risk, control, and governance outcomes. In this role, you will support the assessment and interpretation of multi-layered, and highly detailed information to produce clear, well-reasoned insights that inform senior stakeholder discussions. You'll contribute to the resolution of high impact business, risk, and regulatory matters by applying structured analytical thinking, sound judgment, and a good understanding of governance and control frameworks. Working closely with senior colleagues, you will help translate complexity into practical, actionable outputs that support strategic targets and regulatory expectations. You will communicate multi-layered topics clearly and professionally to a range of stakeholders, including senior managers and governance forums, tailoring messaging to the audience and clearly outlining key implications, risks, and options. You will also play a role in the development of high quality, senior ready materials—such as management information (MI), briefing papers, executive summaries, and governance submissions—ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
To be successful in your role of Control Mapping Operations Program Support - AVP, you will demonstrate:
Experience supporting strategic or program level assessment through the interpretation of highly detailed, multi-source data to generate meaningful insights
Considerable analytical judgment and problem-solving skills when addressing business, risk, or regulatory issues
Experience preparing materials for senior stakeholders, committees, or formal governance forums
The ability to autonomously produce and contribute to high‑quality deliverables, including MI, briefing materials, executive summaries, and governance documentation
Working effectively across teams and stakeholders, demonstrating accountability, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement
Other highly valued skills include:
Experience in Insight-driven or advisory roles within strategy, risk, regulatory, legal, or control environments, with exposure to senior stakeholders
Solid critical‑thinking capability, including working with multi-layered datasets, performance metrics, and management information, with familiarity in data visualization, AI and analytical tools (e.g., Co-Pilot, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or equivalent), and a focus on insight rather than tooling
A good understanding of risk management frameworks, regulatory expectations, and governance processes, including experience producing materials subject to audit, regulatory, or supervisory review
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present highly detailed information clearly and concisely
Emerging leadership capability, including mentoring junior team members and contributing positively through influence and collaboration
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

Minimum Salary: $ 115,000.00
Maximum Salary: $ 155,000.00
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
