Company Photographer

The Company Photographer will play a key role in visually communicating District Cannabis brand identity and product offerings across multiple platforms. This individual is responsible for capturing high-quality still photography and our growing lines of cannabis products, facilities, events, team members, and lifestyle campaigns. The Photographer will collaborate closely with the marketing and production teams to plan, execute, and deliver compelling photo assets for use in ecommerce, advertising, digital media, packaging, and internal communications.

Success in this role will be measured by the quality, consistency, and creativity of visual content produced, alignment with brand aesthetics, and ability to deliver assets on time to support cross-functional needs. We work with living plants and an always improving environment, so continuously updating our product photography is important to what we do.

Your role in caring for our company:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Photograph cannabis products on an ongoing basis for digital marketing, packaging, menu boards, and e-commerce.
• Shoot scheduled lifestyle imagery, behind-the-scenes, and branded campaign content on location or in-studio.
• Capture company events, dispensary activations, and internal moments to support community and culture storytelling.
• Retouch and edit photography to meet brand quality standards using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.).
• Maintain and organize a digital asset library including raw and final images with accurate metadata tagging.
• Maintain all photography equipment and recommend new tools or upgrades as needed.
• Coordinate with marketing coordinator and content creator to ensure images complement written and designed materials.
• Ensure consistency with brand style guidelines across all photo content.
• Stay current with industry trends and innovations in cannabis photography and content creation.
• Operate in compliance with local cannabis advertising regulations and restrictions.
• Assist in occasional video shoots for short-form social media content, reels, or testimonials.

All other duties as necessary.

Qualifications we ask you to have:

• For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.
• You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
• We ask that you have at least a high school diploma/GED.
• We ask that you have at least two (2) years in commercial, product or lifestyle photography (cannabis a plus).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating ability to photograph products, people, and environments with clarity and creativity.

Addition skills which will help you excel in your role:

• Desire and ability to work as a member of a team.
• Proficiency with DSLR or mirrorless camera systems, studio lighting, and photo editing software.
• Proven experience with Focus Stacking and Macro Photography.
• Excellent composition, lighting, and post-processing skills.
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across departments.
• Strong organizational and file management skills.
• Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, creative environment.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends for events or special shoots.
• Ability to give and receive creative feedback constructively.
• Strong work ethic, proactive, and shows curiosity, and attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail skills.
• Extremely organized with ability to advance multiple projects.
• High standards for accuracy, precision, and work produced.
• Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
• Ability to work at a fast pace in a high production environment!
