Summary

The Director, Global Sales - Industrial Thermal Management (“ITM”) leads Alkegen’s global commercial efforts in one of our most critical business units. This senior leadership role is accountable for delivering revenue growth, margin expansion, customer satisfaction, and strategic share gain across key industrial sectors including metals, petrochemical, aerospace, and energy-intensive industries.

The Director will build and execute the global go-to-market strategy, optimize the direct and channel sales model, and lead a high-performing commercial team focused on both short-term delivery and long-term strategic growth. This role is also a key interface across the Alkegen matrix—bringing the voice of the customer into product management, marketing, operations, and R&D, while also driving pricing discipline, account management excellence, and pipeline execution.

The successful candidate will be commercially agile, analytically sharp, digitally fluent, and operationally disciplined, with the ability to lead through influence, coach for performance, and drive accountability across a global team.

Responsibilities:

· Own and execute the global commercial strategy for ITM, including revenue growth, margin improvement, and global share expansion.

· Translate BU priorities into actionable commercial plans, aligned to regional dynamics, channel models, and customer segments.

· Partner closely with the GM, finance, and operations teams to ensure full alignment of commercial activity with BU goals and P&L outcomes.

· Understand key industry, customer and competitive trends to provide timely intelligence and actionable response plans

· Conduct market, customer, and product analysis to identify specific opportunities to increase customer wallet share by cross-selling product portfolio

· Drive team to replicate product/application successes across multiple regions and broader customer networks through driving application transfer projects, customer mapping, and target setting

· Identify opportunities to accelerate the sales cycle and recommend appropriate actions to implement

· Work closely with other business partners including customer service, engineering and production to ensure optimal service levels and customer satisfaction

· Ensure the MS Dynamics CRM system is utilized by the team as required and is up to date. Leverage digital tools (CRM, CPQ, Sales Enablement platforms) to improve pipeline velocity, conversion, and forecast accuracy.

· Lead the annual sales planning process, monthly sales forecasting and variance tracking.

· Implement pricing actions as needed in alignment with business unit financial goals.

· In conjunction with Marketing, determine appropriate product mix goals and execute sales actions to achieve those goals.

· Assess market potential and opportunities and direct efforts to capitalize on selected areas including new product/new market identification, commercialization, and mobilization.

· Manage a staff of sales professionals and routine sales management activities such as account assignments, goal setting, performance management, issue resolution and escalation

· Develop strong organizational talent to meet current and future business needs.

· Guide a team to successfully balance new business development, customer growth and retention activities

· Work in close coordination with the General Manager, Sales Managers, Global Growth Leaders, Engineering Team, Marketing, Customer Service, Research & Development, Supply Chain, and other Business Units.

· Travel based on business requirements. Willingness to travel globally based on business needs.

Qualifications/ Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline; MBA preferred.

· 10+ years of commercial leadership experience in B2B industrial sectors, including 5+ years in a global leadership role.

· Proven track record in strategic sales leadership, key account development, and market expansion.

· Experience with distributor and channel strategy, including joint value creation, negotiation, and conflict management.

· Experience implementing and driving commercial excellence through sales processes and coaching.

· Bias towards action and growth with a “hunter mentality.”

· Demonstrated capability in leading sales transformation and deploying CRM/Commercial Enablement platforms.

· Deep understanding and history of influencing and selling into industrial applications such as aluminum/steel production, oil & gas, petrochemical, and power generation.

· Strong financial acumen and P&L exposure; skilled in pricing, margin management, and forecasting.

· Highly developed communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

· Ability to develop strong relationships and understand what it takes to win

Compensation range: $175, 000 - $212,000
