Position Summary:
We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Civil Construction Surveyor willing to travel and join our field operations team. This role is critical in ensuring precise layout and measurement across a range of civil construction sites. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in fast-paced environments, familiar with heavy civil work, and able to keep up with project deadlines and field crews.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform site surveys and construction staking for earthwork, foundations, utilities, and structural components
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Set control points, benchmarks, and layouts to support grading, excavation, and concrete operations
  • Operate survey instruments including GPS, total stations, and data collectors
  • Provide accurate field data to project managers, superintendents, and engineers
  • Track as-built conditions and update survey records throughout the project
  • Coordinate with field teams to ensure proper alignment and elevations
  • Maintain and calibrate survey equipment regularly
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of field survey experience in civil construction (utility-scale energy, earthwork, or site development preferred)
  • Proficient with Trimble, Leica, or Topcon survey systems
  • Strong understanding of horizontal and vertical control, cut sheets, and construction sequencing
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot issues on active job sites
  • Familiarity with Civil 3D and field data processing tools
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites across the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Survey certification or associate’s degree in surveying, engineering technology, or related field
  • Experience supporting solar, wind, or substation projects
  • Drone License
