A Valid (FAA) A&P Certificate is Required.
Must have Army C-12 / King Air (200, 350, 1900) hands-on A&P mechanic experience to include, flightline experience.
US Citizenship is Required to obtain the US Govt Secret Security Clearance, and for base access at this work facility.
Coordinates, plans, schedules, supervises, and performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on C-12 aircraft.
Is responsible for all aspects of the servicing, repairing, and modifying aircraft systems at assigned site to ensure continued airworthiness, with a focus on troubleshooting.
Manages and/or performs tasks associated with the maintenance electrical systems, engines, flight controls and/or airframe components. Mentors and trains junior colleagues as required.
Capable of performing operational checks, troubleshooting, and isolation of malfunctions in aircraft
Experience in repairing or replacing components based on test results following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents.
Capable of performing repair and replacement of system components based on test results following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents.
Ability to interpret schematic diagrams, engineering drawings and charts of assigned systems.
Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751.
Competent in the use of a computer, to include Microsoft Office Suite, especially Work, Outlook, and Excel.
In-depth knowledge of flight line operations, aircraft/vehicle movement, and safety/hazards.
Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary.
Perform engine run or taxi operations. Meet requirement to obtain certification within Twelve (12) months of employment.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Requirements:
A High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is Required.
Formal civilian and/or military training desired for specialization.
A valid (FAA) A&P Certificate is Required; with Fixed Wing Turboprop flight line maintenance experience being required.
A minimum of Three (3) years of specific C-12/King Air hands-on mechanic experience (on Army C-12 aircraft) is Required.
Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit. (Must clear AR95-20 Medical, to include a BMI below 40).
A valid Driver's license is Required.
Excellent communication, Leadership, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to communicate knowledgeably and effectively with senior management.
Mechanic Tools and Toolbox Required - Mechanic must provide their own Aircraft Maintenance Tools and Toolbox. Tools are to be etched with employee (PID) and the toolbox will be shadowed for each tool. (Recruiter will provide tool requirements).
(AR95-20) A&P Mechanic Pre-employment Medical Requirements:
Medical/Physical. All personnel performing engine runs, ground taxi, ordnance loading, or operating self-propelled support equipment within Ten (10) feet of the aircraft silhouette must pass a physical examination from a qualified medical professional prior to conducting these operations, and subsequently on a specified periodic basis, not to exceed Five (5) years.
Security Clearance Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization. US Citizenship is Required to hold a US Govt Secret Clearance, and facility credentials and authorization to work at this facility.
Physical and Additional Qualifications:
Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time. Pull, push, lift to 50 lbs.
Be physically able to deploy to overseas locations, if requested due to operational necessity, to meet contractual obligations.
Ability to obtain a Valid US Passport for International travel is required. (OCONUS TDY may be requested as needed).
Be physically able to perform aircraft mechanic duties; specifically, must have the ability to move freely about the interior of aircraft and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
