Position Overview
Provide unique experiences to help our guests overcome challenges and promote high quality service in an outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversight of all Aerial Sport related program and areas at the Summit Bechtel Reserve
- Participate in weekly operations meetings with other area directors and full-time management
- Train and manage staff to have the knowledge to carry out a safe, impactful, and fun program
- Prepare end-of-season report with recommendations for operational improvement
- Monitor and report on facility conditions, inventory control, equipment and guest safety
- Provide periodic performance evaluations of staff and partake in any disciplinary actions
- Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
- Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
- Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
- Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook
Qualifications
- Minimum age: 21+
- Required: C.O.P.E. Director National Camp School Card (training provided)
- Required 2+ yr. leading teams, Prefer 2+ Summit employment
- Documented Aerial Sports work experience
- Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
- Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication
Physical & Practical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 9 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 70 pounds
- Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines
- Housing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45-55
