We’re hiring Aerial Data Collection Technicians, no prior experience required.
You will operate data collection equipment for aircraft mapping and surveying projects. Great for candidates who are:
- Detail-oriented
- Technically curious
- Comfortable with travel and structured work
Key Responsibilities
- Operate onboard data collection equipment to capture mapping, imaging, or survey data (training provided)
- Follow detailed, step-by-step procedures to ensure data is collected accurately and consistently
- Monitor equipment and software systems in real time, identifying and communicating any issues or irregularities
- Perform pre-flight setup and system checks to confirm all equipment is functioning properly before takeoff
- Conduct post-flight tasks including powering down systems, securing equipment, and preparing data for transfer
- Review and organize collected data files to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper labeling for internal teams and clients
- Maintain clear and accurate records of flight activities, data collection logs, and any issues encountered
- Assist with basic troubleshooting, calibration, and routine maintenance of onboard equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines while working in and around aircraft
- Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on processes, equipment, and workflow efficiency
Not a pilot role. No aviation experience needed.
Ideal backgrounds: GIS, trades, IT support, military, drone hobbyists, or anyone looking to start a technical career.
